The game even mentions that the prostitutes are in a worse position than the "Temp work" which is the punishment given by the antagonist. Not sure what they were thinking with this. In this game, anytime they do good, its offset by the fact they are prostituting people and acting worse than the enemy.
Most people that play through Rance will at least know that he has some good to him despite him raping women he likes. The prostitution also makes me wonder what the fuck they were thinking. I think I'm 50% completed and a lot of the themes don't make sense yet. BGM is good, artwork is amazing, story is eh. Playing through it now, combat is not too good compared to other Alicesoft titles and even persona. However, the only real option is to publish on your own marketplace like Jast/Johren have been doing. Dohna Dohna didn't release on Steam thankfully and didn't bother it looks like, but Johren sucks ass as a platform. Steam is retarded and trying to get things published there is not worth it - especially for eroge. I don't think they will be publishing there anymore and I don't blame them. I think Alicesoft had Evenicle 2 rejected from steam earlier this year. I just wish she wasn't so damn expensive and useless.

Later on in NG+, when I had a roster full of great characters, I had to sell her just because I ran out of supply. How is Aki top tier? She's almost prohibitively expensive early on and her stats are just not that high. Play order of games doesn't have too big of an impact on enjoyability, though I will say to do Rance 7 before Rance 8 - 10 due to some major story developments. Rance 7 was what I started with and I didn't see any issues. You can beat it legitimately, but the ending cutscene assumes you cheated anyways. Get him 9 defense and he'll be reliable all game. Niwa is good on NG, but on NG+ Archers other than Isoroku and the two subordinates don't cut it. To paraphrase what another anon said in the past: every girl feels like she's a factory preset personality + character quirk + visual style. The story and character are pretty awful too. It's a grinding game, it barely qualifies as a JRPG. Any Warrior with Full Power Attack 2 + Charge is silly OP, even better if you can get Field/Castle Battle Expert.Įvenicle gameplay is complete fucking ass. For your first playthrough, Tokugawa is ridiculously strong and will delete everything with Full Power Attack 2. Ranmaru and Aki are top tier in NG+ since you can clear them early and boost their affection each turn through battles. Other than those two, the best commanders are the ones you get early and that will carry you through the entire game. Omachi is in her own category, but you usually get her so late that it doesn't matter. Is anyone else trying it out?īest commander is Rance. The combat is not as fun as Sengoku Rance/Daibanchou and the pimping out mini-game is alright, so far I'm impressed with the soundtrack and visuals but gameplay is slightly lacking. Right now I'm playing through Dohna Dohna which released a few days ago at the moment and its a gorgeous game. I beat Daibanchou a few months ago, excellent game. I ended up playing this game so much, that I would play it during work for a few weeks to the point all my work got late. I'm very tempted to try out Evenicle after sseth's review of it but somehow keep pushing it off as well.īe prepared for one of the most addicting and fun games you'll experience. I have yet to do the custom scenarios where you can play as a different house. I finished my third playthrough a few months ago, and I got a large number of them this time, still missing out on some routes. My favorite commander has to be Suzume, personally the sexiest one. She literally wipes out most armies in a single hit. If you can conquer the Yokai kingdom took me my second or third playthrough and following a guide, Omachi is an absolute beast. Just power forward anon, once you beat it once you will get access to end-game points/be better in general.
